The upcoming rally will be the 41st edition of Dakar and the course will span across the borders of Peru which includes a challenging terrain, full of sand dunes and desert. The total area of the course will stretch up to 5,000km and will be divided into ten different stages.

The 2019 season of Dakar will witness 334 vehicles battling it out in different categories which include bikes, cars, ATVs, buggies and trucks. The total number of participants are 534, among which 135 will be making their debut in the rally event. Moreover, the upcoming season also has 17 women participants which is the highest figure yet.

Set to start from 6 January, the Dakar 2019, as is the case every year, will be an ultimate test of the rider’s endurance, riding and navigation skills. The rally concludes on 17 January.
